You satisfy my soul

You satisfy my soul

You satisfy my soul

With Your love

You make my heart sing

You lift me on eagle wings

Just when I thought my heart, it would faint

You take the darkest night

And You turn it to shining light

Just when I thought the night had won

Hallelujah, You make all things beautiful

Hallelujah, trials and testing prove there’s gold

Hallelujah, You turn mourning into joy

James 1:2-4 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Romans 5:1-5 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

Oh Lord, indeed You are faithful by speaking truth into my life through Your Word. Indeed the Scriptures are a light unto my fumbling feet, and lamp unto my uncertain paths. How gratefully amazed I am, seeing Your mighty hand upon my life and glaring faithfulness in the midst of a hurricane.

Oh Lord indeed You will and have never forsaken me. You remained faithful even when I was not.

Oh Lord if You have persevered to the Cross for me, what should stop me from persevering to the ends for Your glory to be revealed on earth?

To fuel my passion for human rights?

Having a law degree gives you the key to many opportunities. The opportunities to make a difference.

Reading law in Reading.

This is for you, June.

Well, it’s been ages since I’ve done some proper blogging. Been so caught up settling in uni. Anyways, I’ve promised my best friend June that I’ll put up pictures of my room here in Reading. I didn’t want to post them on Facebook for the world to see. So here they are!

This is where I study and do most of my unproductive work. It’s pretty neat because the window is just right there and the sun shines in (when we’re lucky to get the sun, that is!).  I’m quite happy with the view I got too. I get to stare at the beauty of Reading when I wake up. And it’s quite pretty now in autumn. It tends to get cold at night though because the cold seeps in through the window.

Cosy ain’t it? Yup, I get a nice wardrobe next to my study table. Everything is pretty new because my batch are the second users of it. This hall was built two years ago.

More storage next to my bed. My mom says it’s like my own mini market.

And we have a huge pin board in our rooms!

Toilet on the left. Laundry bag on the bottom right. Shoes just right by my door. 😉

My very own toilet.

Hot showers! How lovely art thou. And isn’t it lovely how torquise blends with white! My two favorite colours.

If you know me well, you’d know I have an obsession over flowers.  So I got a pot of  white roses to sit beautifully on my window sill.

The view from my window.

Also the view from my window, towards the left side. There you can see the other blocks of my accommodation.

The corridor of my flat. It gives us that feeling like you’re walking into a hotel. We even use swipe cards to unlock and lock doors!

The door straight ahead at the far end is the door to the kitchen.

The shared kitchen! Not too bad.

Ironing board.

The dining table!

As you would have noticed Mackinder Halls are themed orange.

So there you have it! My humble accommodation here in Reading. My home for the coming 9 months.

I found him.

This is him driving me home with butterflies in my stomach. The sunrise never looked so beautiful.

Wonderboy, you make me come undone.

It’s always been about me, myself, and I
I thought relationships were nothing but a waste of time
I never wanted to be anybody’s other half
I was happy saying I had love that wouldn’t last
That was the only way I knew ’til I met you

Just look at what we got ourselves into.

As a believer and follower of Christ, I observe fasting. This time I am fasting and praying for my upcoming final exams. I need Him desperately and I know I can’t depend on my strength alone. I need His strength.

So I chose to seek the Lord from this day onwards until my exams are over.

What am I fasting on? As a Christian, fasting is not limited to just giving up on food and water. That would mean we have the choice to fast by surrendering and sacrificing the things we love and devote alot of time and energy on. It could be video games, television, eating chocolates.

I chose to fast on the social networks (Facebook & Twitter), and channel my time spent on those networks to the time spent with God. Yes I gotta admit I’ve been guilty of spending way too much time on those sites. Which is totally unnecessary.

I pray through this, I would grow to know Him on a deeper level and love Him even more so, and have a greater faith in Him, especially through trying times like the exam periods.

I would not be updating myself on social networks, but I will blog about how I am doing here. So follow me on WordPress!

And please pray along, as I depend on God, wholeheartedly.
