When God ran.

We’re so undeserving of His amazing and unconditional love.

And my prayer this Easter is that the people around me will come to know this love for them as well.

It is not the choices you make, but the choice He made to die on the cross for you; that defines who you are. You are a child of God.

1 Cor 13;13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Let us not lose the wonder of the cross.

Let us remember the reason why He chose the cross. Because He could not bear the thought of us perishing. Because He could not help but love you and me.

I’m quite speechless after watching that, really.

I’m hitting the dance floor tonight with my best friend, baby.

Everyday should be Valentine’s Day.

This morning I woke up to a text message from a friend I look up to, and consider that he’s the closest to what I’d call a brother. I don’t think I have ever had someone show me so much brotherly love. And that includes showing me that I may not be right all the time, edifying me and encouraging me. And this brotherly love wasn’t shown because of some lame reason like Valentine’s Day. It came with full sincerity.

Other than the slightly elevated morning, the rest of the day was pretty much normal; spending time in the university from 8am till 5.30pm.

I then was randomly given a cupcake. By Ellan, my closest guy friend – or rather my best friend, I think. Well, it wasn’t anything great but thats the only thing I got for Valentine’s so I’m not complaining!

Ah Valentine’s so overrated. Everyone expects so much from 14th February. Why pick one day to show your love when you can love 365 days a year? Husbands/boyfriends can leave roses for the woman randomly on other days too. Likewise for the girlfriends and wifes.

Then I spent my afternoon singing Shania Twain’s From This Moment On in the car with my guy friend, Chuin after class, and gossiping about hot guys. =B

Then later in the day I received a text message from a friend saying “I’m reminded that I am single today”. I thought it through before replying. Instead of the usual lecture on “Key is to want, but not need men”, I knew sometimes preaching what I strongly believe in might not be taken and understood by the other person anyways. So after thinking a fair bit, I replied “Why do you need a man to define you? You are an amazing person yourself and I think you should give yourself more credit than that,”

Hey, after all, Valentine’s is about showing love. And that is not restricted to someone you have romantic feelings for.

I also feel that the word love has been used in vain so many times. Often people express their infatuation for one another by that word. I feel strongly about love and I think it should only be used when we are really sure it is love.

So what if you spent your Valentine night a little too quiet. Your turn will come.

That doesn’t mean you can’t continue showing love towards others.

Celebrate

love.

Celebrate

life.

Shut It Down.

It has been a week since I’ve said goodbye to books, exams, Year 1 and my beloved classmates. So law school has come to an interval (a music term for the difference in pitch between two tones).
But that does not mean achieving or growing as a person is to be put on hold. Well, at least not for me. Allow my brain to dissolve away and myself to rot in front of the television? I wish.

I had a list of things to do. This was a list I made less than a week ago.

Nope, thats not even the scary part. My mom wanted the breakdown of my four month’s insane holiday plan (she couldn’t keep track. it is insane alright). So here it is. I amuse myself sometimes.

I have never done this before. Having so many VERY important things all together. But I reckon it was always all in His plan. Jer 29:11.

He will be faithful. He has always been. After all, I am blessed for the opportunity to actually pursue what I have always been passionate about. Keeping in mind that lightning on’t strike the same place twice, I will embrace the opportunity and make this work.

I intend to make it.

Happy Chinese New Year, world.

So after hugging Jo Lynn off, as she will be furthering her studies in Monash Clayton, in Melbourne Australiaa handmade card, a little tears and love, and many words of blessings were exchanged. As I watched her from my rear view mirror as I was driving off, I couldn’t help but feel I’ll be missing an amazing friend.

She was always there for me, you see. Simple as that.

I returned home and got my dog, Ruby ready for boarding during the Chinese New Year holidays when I’ll be away. With a heavy heart I hugged parted with her as I left her in the pet shop.

Later in the evening me and my family headed to the airport (thank God not for more separations but an arrival. Had enough partings for the day) to pick my aunt that flew in from the UK. =D

And she bought me chocolates, a red top, a red and a grey skirt.

So yes, I was running up the stairs to try them on, and.

And I slammed my toe on the stairs. Yes, it bled. Alot. My aunt had some antiseptics and insisted I put some and wrapped my toe up.That means no more heels and pedicures for awhile. D=

Oh well, but I love my new clothes from England. (like they always say look on the brighter side)

Happy Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day (or Singles Awareness Day), world!

Speaking of which, Chinese New Year wouldn’t be the same if I’m not allowed to eat rubbish because of the cough that hasn’t gone away yet. :C

I have to get well before it is my turn to moot. Gah. Yes, I’ll be immersing myself in the many judgments printed from Lexis for my moot during Chinese New Year. How awesome is that.

I know this all is very random. But let me whine abit lah.
